2010 Musical Instrument Drive

On behalf of the L.I. Sunrisers Drum & Bugle Corps MetroAEG is now embarking upon a campaign to fund the acquisition of desperately needed musical instruments to replace an aging inventory of bugles/trumpets.

The instruments currently owned by The Sunrisers are ancient, inadequate and many of them are beyond repair. In order to enable students to learn skills that are directly transferable to mainstream music education programs (private lessons, school programs) it is necessary to upgrade the instrument inventory. This allow the educators to better dovetail the learning and performance experiences of the Sunrisers program with those that performers will find in the school systems.

In addition to maintenance issues, this instrument inventory is not sufficent in numbers toaccommodate the high numbers of players that desire to be a part of the organization.
